Our Story
Bounce Audio first opened in South Yarra on January 10th, 2013 — originally as a record shop and home for Melbourne’s south-side vinyl and DJ community, offering hot-off-the-press house and techno, funk, soul, and disco. Alongside records, founder Johan Elgstrom, a professional DJ himself, began offering DJ and sound equipment hire to private parties and venues across Melbourne.
From the beginning, music has been in our blood. What started as a hub for vinyl and gear soon evolved into a one-stop shop for all things DJ and sound: secondhand Technics 1200 turntables, DJ accessories, home hi-fi, production equipment, and professional hire solutions.
Today, Bounce Audio is trusted by thousands of events to deliver professional-grade equipment that’s easy to use and backed by real DJ expertise. We also operate as Melbourne’s Technics & Pioneer DJ Service Centre, and stock a rotating range of new & used DJ equipment and accessories.
