This music was made for a hybrid live set at Miscellania (Naarm) with Skydiver Records.
Words from the author:
"I wanted to do a hybrid set because I'd only ever done 100% live. I tried with my records and it sucked. I don't have CDJs, so I decided I would rip a bunch of music from the best format - tape.
Most of my tapes are DJ mixes from decades ago - littered with all kinds of audio issues and blends of tracks that are impossible to identify.
To me, this presented a uniquely challenging and extremely inspiring 'collaborative' opportunity."
Following the shocking and suspicious death of the all-important drum-machine (allegedly to natural causes) ... the set was cancelled upon arriving at the club. These excerpts were salvaged over the following 12 months.
